Today, while perusing the site stats, I noticed that we’re suddenly getting a ton of hits from Facebook, Twitter and other sharing places.
A great big “Welcome!” to our new readers!! This is so exciting! I’m a closet introvert, but I just love that what I’m talking about is important to you, and I look forward to your comments and our discussions!

In the spirit of social media, I’ve launched a facebook page for The Archaic and the Arcane, you can find it here.
I have to say this first though: I have a confession to make. While I can develop software and such, I really haven’t spent any time getting to know the social networks, or how they work. Every time I log in, I have to relearn because everything’s changed. I dabble a little. There’s a Pinterest page, there’s the facebook page I mentioned above, and I’m on Twitter personally, though you’d never know it. I will make an effort to embrace at least 2 of these this fall. 🙂 So please do, stop by and see what’s new on the site, leave me a comment or two (now that the comments feature is working again), and I will be posting more on each of these social networks to let you know when I’m posting content. I’d love to chat! See you there (too!)
P.S. I thought I’d also start adding a reference at the bottom of posts detailing the pop culture reference that the title of each post comes from.
Today’s Title: Ritchie Kotzen – Socialite
What a great post and something I never thought of doing, cost comparison based on yardage or meters. I can tell you my personal favorite is Aurifil.
Oops, that comment should have been on the thread blog post, so much for using a very temperamental tablet this morning. Guess it needs more coffee or some breakfast.
Ha!! Usually my tablet has the same complaint about a temperamental me. 🙂
I did it because I kept hearing people say that the Aurifil was so expensive. The first time I bought it I thought “Huh?? At retail price (I don’t have a supplier for it at the moment) it’s cheaper than my -cost- on Mettler thread!!”
Then of course, I had to over analyze it.
