Archaic Arcane has become a dealer!

Uhm, No, not that kind of dealer.

A month or two ago now, I approached SMS (Sewing Machine Services) about becoming a dealer for their products.

Some of the reasons that I did this:

  • The machines I’m rehabbing inevitably need parts.
  • People are starting to bring their sewing machines to me to be fixed.  I’m using consumables, and need some consumables for those machines too.
  • The Singer store in Edmonton has recently closed, and the owner’s have moved east.  Some of you may have heard me make mention of a sewing machine shop that I considered buying.  This is the one.  That means a ready source for parts for Singers is not available to me (or the rest of Edmonton and area) anymore.  I guess I’m now that source. 🙂
  • I believe there’s still a market for these sorts of products, and feel like I can combine my IT experience, and the sewing repair experience, and offer Edmonton and Area a discount online experience.  Hopefully in the next few months, we’ll see this portion of the site become live.  Right now it’s just in the planning stage.

What this means is that I have access to, and can supply parts and notions from companies such as:

Baby Lock, Bernina, Brother, Clover, Dream World (Sew Steady tables), Dritz, Dyno (Singer) Notions,  Elna,  Fiskars,  Gingher,  Husqvarna,  Janome,  Johnny Seww,  KAI, Kenmore,  MagEyes, Mettler, Mundial,  Olfa,  Omnigrid, Organ (Needles), Ott-lite  , Pfaff, Prym,  Ring-Lock, Robinson-Anton, Rowenta,  Schmetz, Singer, Sulky,  Velcro,  The Warm Company, White, Wiss,  YLI,  Zwilling J.A. Henckels

AA doesn’t plan to have a store front and this means that I can offer parts and notions at lower prices because I don’t have the overhead that shops do.

Until I have any sort of commercial portion of the site set up, please contact me via email: Tammi at Archaic Arcane dot com, with any questions or items you need.

Places where I plan on shipping to at this point are all parts of Alberta and British Columbia, but if you’re somewhere else, by all means let me know.

  1. I would be delighted to be added to your newsletter sending list once the store and website is open and up, running and sending newsletters out. I have both
antique Singer and White sewing machines, and a new Janome.

    1. Hi Ann,

Thanks for dropping by, I will definitely let you know when I get that portion of things up and running. What model are the machines you have? What do you use them for?
